Scientific Anglers Two-Handed Fly Lines simplify line selection for swung fly applications.  lately, the number of offerings from various companies has made this a confusing and often frustrating experience.  One shouldn’t need an advanced degree in order to pick a suitable line.

Geared toward steelhead and Atlantic salmon, these lines are designed for Spey casting and swung fly techniques.  The Skagit Floating and Skagit Intermediate Heads allow the angler to cover a range of depths with attached tips of different sink rates and flies of various weights and sizes.  The new Skagit Short Headpairs with the latest generation of shorter two-hand rods or when the angler is wading deep.   This allows the proper D Loop to be formed with less line.

When flies are swung at or just below the surface, the Scandi Head fills the need.  The longer tapered design gives smooth turnover and proper presentation for skating and dead-drifting dries or swinging small wet flies.  With both the Scandi and Skagit Heads, we have a convenient Spey Chart to help you select the proper grain weight for your rod.

TC Textured Spey Tips are available in different lengths and densities to be added to any of  Skagit Heads for carry your fly to the proper depth.  Sonar Leaders are used with the Scandi Head to maintain the proper fly swing depth.  All Two-Handed Lines feature a high-visibility sighter at the back end to help find proper overhang.  SA ID is at the tip of each to help identify the correct grain weight.
