Jeff Liskay

Ambassador

A self-admitted steelhead junkie, Jeff Liskay has been chasing chrome for nearly four decades. From his home base in northern Ohio, Liskay has fished across the entire Great Lakes and is now reaching into Alaska, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. He is gaining recognition for his two-hand casting and fishing skills and is a regular on the Spey gathering circuit as both and observer and a presenter.
He spends the warmer months prowling Great Lakes shoreline areas chasing warm-water species on the fly, but as soon as the weather cools, steelhead take over. Liskay gives many club and show programs, guides on Ohio’s Lake Erie tribs, and does many instructional programs. He is a talented fly tier; his creations are generally simple, functional, fish catchers.
Jeff is a founding member of the Ohio Central Basin Steelheaders and operates Silver Fury Guide Service & Schools. He is a Patagonia Fly Fishing Ambassador and a pro staff member for a number of companies where he works on cutting edge technology through product testing.

  12. Craziest experience on the water?
1.)   Many crazy ones but, one fall day on a Michigan river  stands out where we did the two car spot program and my partner forgot his keys in the upstream vehicle. Duh, I walked out to the road in the hopes to flag down a car but ended up on the back of a 50cc dirt bike with a 12 year old driving me  8 miles back upstream. Flipped him $20.00   for the crazy spot witch most likely bought gas for the week and ended the day with a sore ass.
