WELCOME TO SA SPEY! |

![]() Here is what we did. First, we went to Europe and developed a new set of Spey tapers with a dedicated team of highly experienced Spey gurus. Lines were built and shipped to Europe on a daily basis. They were cast, weighed, trimmed, and cast again until we got it right. It didn’t stop there. The head Spey guru flew to our factory in Michigan and he and our line team stayed there and produced all of the lines, heads, and tapers - weighed and measured them all to insure that we could reproduce the lines within spec. We then introduced the lines in Europe to see what would happen. They were an instant hit. We have been producing the new European Spey lines now for 9 months, even hearing of some of them being smuggled back into the U.S. |

| What about the U.S. Spey lines? We didn’t take a breather. We jumped right into the U.S. Spey market, applying what we learned from Europe and forming a dedicated team to help us design a set of lines for the U.S. Spey community. That team included Steve Choate, Jeff Putnam, Greg Pearson, Jerry Darkes, Del Kauss, and we’ve just added Tim Pommer. Meetings started and the arguing began. Can the perfect Spey line be made? |
| Can we please all of you? The answer came to us in a battle royale - arguing everything from core materials to color. The result was break through designs and a versatile line-up of Spey lines. |
| The 2011 lineup includes shorter Scandi heads, more powerful Skagit heads, a ground breaking fully integrated skagit line, and a new dual customizable tip. For those who want to take their casting to the next level, we have designed a do it all short head line called the Evolution. In total we have 70 new Spey lines for your casting pleasure. |
| This is only the beginning. As the Spey market continues to evolve, we will continue to evolve with it. |
