Bio

Ed grew up in Northern Michigan fly fishing for trout, salmon, and steelhead. Ed attended Michigan State University and graduated with degrees in Zoology and Fisheries & Wildlife.  After graduating from MSU he was involved in post graduate research studying salmonid recruitment in the Muskegon River while attending the University of Michigan.  Ed enjoys sharing this knowledge with clients, and “putting it to work”. As a guide with 8 years of experience Ed enjoys every aspect of fly fishing whether pulling streamers for large aggressive fish, casting dry flies for surface feeding trout, or nymphing..

Fishing Experience

I have been fishing since before I can remember.  My grandfather used to drag me along on some of his brook trout excursions and it wasn't long after stepping into my first stream that I felt obsessed with moving waters.  I started fly fishing when I was 10 and found the science behind the sport intriguing.  After college I began guiding full time and I haven't looked back.  Fishing for me has always been a way of life and it continues to drive my obsession.
